As an after thought with placing libs in a project and the SVN making projects self contained. The only issue I have with that is a common library like Log4J, which is used in every project, will be taking up space in the SVN. I have close to twenty small projects, not counting the mini utilities I use to prepare data, almost all of which use Log4J. Let's say there are five developers including myself and everyone has a similar project load. That would mean Log4J is in our repository over a hundred times. What kind of space do you think that would require? Would it be negligible?

I'm not 100%, but I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that we pay for the space we use on production servers where the SVN will ultimately reside.

I'm looking for advice on what other people, out in the great beyond, who do work in groups for development are doing.
