Hi, I work in Sweden, I am not familiar with Eclipse. We are supporting developers. We had an issue regarding Eclipse hanging when importing a project. Working both with C++ and ClearCase.

Then the developer tested the import checking the "Copy projects into workspace" option. It worked, but then he was not able to access ClearCase.

Then he manually deleted his project files, checked out his template files from Clearcase and recreated his project files using an internal script. After that he has been able to successfully import his projects within Eclipse.

We have also noticed that Eclipse hangs when there is a permission issue, i.e. we tried to import a project using a Windows ID non menber of the developement group and it hanged, during import.

I now would like to understand why the developer's deletion/recreation project procedures fixed the problem.

Does anyone have seen this kind of issue ? Or has any idea what we should be checking ?
