Default Save/restore Editor Layout - 09-25-2009, 04:24 AM

Hi,

I want to open two file in specific layout setting.
Let me explain :

i have two file : file1 ,file2

This files are opened in my custom editor like

file1
Editor 1

file2
Editor 2

I drag and drop editor tab to make this arrangement. Now i want to save this setting for future uses and call this setting whenever i open any of the file(file1,file2).
In above editor layout setting i divided editor area equally in two part.
Is it possible to save all such editor layout setting in a file.

Thanks in advance,

Have you tried using
configurer.setSaveAndRestore(true);
in the initialize()-Method of ApplicationWorkbenchAdvisor?

This will probably save the layout of your application on closing it. So this is the correct place to save any other components such as edited files etc.

Best wishes,
Heiko
