Default Newbie to Eclipse with a question - 07-31-2008, 08:33 AM

I'm new to the Eclipse arena & I haven't been able to figure out why I'm unable to install the Europa or Ganymede IDEs.

I'm running Netbeans 6.1 with JDK 6u7. Every time I try to install either IDE it tells me my JVM is at 1.4.2_03 & needs to be at 1.5 or better. When I double check my machine at the Sun site, it shows me at 1.6.0_07.

Ideas on where to point the newbie since I couldn't find a help section on the Eclipse site?

Thanks!!

What operating system are you on?

I've been using Mac OS X and have been having a lot of problems dealing with Eclipse because of JDK differences. I actually think that I'm running 1.4 now...
