Thumbs up No access on Installed folder - 11-20-2008, 12:41 AM

In a RCP application. After exporting the appln into a product.
How to identify/validate whether user has write access into the installed folder.
If he doesn't have wirte acces he should be restricted to launch the application.

Note:usage of file.canWrite() only deals with the readonly properties...it does not handle the security aspects.

Any help would be greatfull.

Thanks,
Joe
