Default Applet to upload files and folder over HTTP - 03-09-2008, 09:23 AM

Just to let you know that JFileUpload is an applet that allows to upload files and folders to any web or ftp server. The applet is designed for cross-browsers support. Front-end provides an upload progress bar, a cancel button and drag&drop support. JFileUpload supports very large uploads over 2GB and could resume broken upload.

I am looking at using this in my application. In initial testing with a trial version it works great. You may want to look into their UploadBean product also to receive the data on the server.

Thanks for the feedback. If you plan HTTP upload, then it depends on your server side technology. JFileUpload can works with PHP, ASP.NET, Coldfusion and JSP. JSP is better because large upload could be handled easily with low memory.
