I am looking at a project now that was botched by Indian developers. You may think India is cheaper but you get what you pay for. Can you communicate once every 24 hours with someone you can barely understand? Good luck.

Default Indian developers - 09-16-2009, 11:13 AM

Don't really want to go into a long discussion about this, but there are 1 billion people in India, and there are a huge number of very bad programmers. But there are also brilliant programmers. So it depends on the person. So whilst what you are saying is true in that going with a US or the rest of the developed world is much safer (unlikely to mess up the job), there are some great developers in India.

Hi, I'm from Romania and interested in working on your project.
I have over 5 years experience in Java / Java ee development and worked on several big projects. If you are interested contact me and we'll have chat about this.

You are absolutely right!
Did you also consider fact that you may need 12 cheap developers which work for 10% instead 1 for 100%?
See the savings?

Yes I'm totally in agreement. I know that someone who is good can be 10 times faster than an average person. However my experience is that spending more doesn't always get you a good result. I've had bad experiences hiring expensive developers also.
