Unhappy Debuging - 12-16-2008, 11:49 AM

Hi
I've seen that Eclipse Ganymede now support Instance Retrieval in Debug mode. That sounds pretty good. But as soon as i started to debug it told me that my VM doesn't support isntance retrival.
I tried to google - but i haven't found which VM supports instance retrival.
I also tried to use eclipse tptp but this is the worst pain i've seen up to now - i was able to configure the agentcontroller but not the integrated agent controller and a simple instance tree cannot be created up to now.

Anyway - my environment: jdk 1.5_06 eclipse Version: 3.4.1

I don't know what Instance Retrieval is, but why don't you just try a later JDK version? You can always switch back later if necessary. Eclipse supports multiple JDKs, as you should know.

The JDK 1.5 is the only one which is suported by the application i want to debug. But never the less i haven't read about another JVM which supports it.
