Forum vs Portal annoyances

I understand that the Forum and Portal (Drupal) zones are running different software, and I imagine that some time in the future the Drupal and/or {BBForum?} themes will be more unified. In the meantime can someone fix something which I find inexplicably annoying -- the Zones menu.

Click to show in Forum zone.
Rollover to show (once loaded) in Portal zone.

For some reason this drives me crazy!

*cough* s/onmouseover/onclick/g *ahem*
