This only works well if the content of the blog is duplicated as the initial post in the forum or at least linked back to. Otherwise it is just confusing. And the comments should be either with the blog or in the forums, not both.

Thanks for the great feedback. I tend to agree with you on this and it does get a bit confusing. We'll definitely keep that in mind.
