I'm sorry, I'm a quite new adventurer of this big and wonderful site, perhaps I came during a changing phase...however I really don't understand why I can't access to Eclipse Zone | Community for Eclipse users and developers...
I tried with the same account info that I'm using to access Eclipse Zone | Community for Eclipse users and developers but it says "Invalid user name"....

Regards
Raffaele

Can you access any of the other dzones (apart from forums.dzone.com)?

I click your link and get redirected to Eclipse Zone | Community for Eclipse users and developers which knows who I am, but I logged into the java.dzone.com before attempting the use the forums. The two are running on different platforms I believe, so there might be a problem with synchronising the user information.

That "retrieve link titles automatically" thing is nifty, but it makes it hard to distinguish URLs, huh?

Anyway, when I try the eclipsezone dot com link, it redirects to eclipse dot dzone dot com ... does it work for you yet?

I'm confusing...

I would simply write post to http:// www . eclipsezone . com / eclipse / forums / c5605.html

I believe that is the old site...but in this case, in the new site, where are all those wonderful threads about Eclipse world?

Too much work today...I see stars above of my head...

See what you mean -- it's a completely different site, but still accessible i.e. only the "main" or front page URL is being redirected. S'pose that's good for being about to find the old posts.

I'm not sure if there's ever going to be some "old post import" into the new site ... can an admin or site manager tell us for sure?

Yeah, if you go to the "old" Eclipsezone, but then click the Home button in the top menu you are redirected to the "new" eclipse dzone.

Ah yeah! It would be great if there was a massive import of old threads...
I believe that those threads, in that old forum are the biggest eclipse resource that I have ever found in the net....is there someone who can deny this?

Best regards!

You guys are correct that the old threads are one of the biggest resources the Eclipse world has. We are in fact looking at getting the aggregation of the newsgroups started again in the new forum system. Is that something that the community would value? As for an import of the old stuff, it could happen, but not in the short term.
